I truly didnt think I had an ego as a writer until I got back to - TopicsExpress

I truly didnt think I had an ego as a writer until I got back to college and started getting grades on assignments that I did not agree with. While I understand that I am not a perfect writer (is there such a thing?) and it is after all why I am back in school. That is, to improve and to correct the mistakes that I have been making in writing for years, I think one of the biggest things I have learned (although I have to still learn it) is to keep my ego in check and my temper down when I get a grade on a writing assignment that I dont agree with. Case in Point: the paper I wrote for Possession I only got a 35/50 or a C- on. My cinema teacher emailed me and said its not what he wanted. In my defense, what he wanted on the syllabus is vague (like extremely) while he says he talked about it a lot in class, I would say that is debatable, as well. I also need what one wants in writing, as I cant remember every word in class. I am also only technically still a Sophomore, not an upperclassman. To be honest, I would be surprised if early grad students in most colleges could write on this level ( I have written for newspapers after all, even when I was making all those dumb mistakes). See there goes my ego again............ I really have to keep that in check. The paper as it appeared in his hand is here....... (minus one minor typo that I corrected on here,) https://facebook/nicholas.g.schwab/posts/10100533683536217
