I try to get the word out about habilitation. If you have a child - TopicsExpress

I try to get the word out about habilitation. If you have a child with autism, your DDD can and will cover for habilitation hours. Approach them with a list of 7-10 goals to help your child function adapt, and become less delayed. Some of My sons are learning to put clothes on, tolerating tooth brushing, and recognizing shapes and colors. He actually has 7 they accepted of 11 I suggested. Now we are actually preparing to switch up goals cuz he has met some of them with great success. Please, know and advocate for your childs habilitation! It makes a huge difference, cuz as much as we would love to we cant always(especially, with two kids) give your autistic child all the therapy they need. Good luck! And if you have questions, I would be happy to try to help!
