I try to understand the philosophy that government should not be responsible for the poor and that its only through private enterprise and individual determination which ultimately creates success. There is truth to that but government ought to make sure that it polices the greed that almost destroyed the economy of the middle class and has limited upward mobility. The government must provide opportunities, equal access, jobs and an environment that allows each generation a better future.
