I turned 50 at (apparently) shortly after 6 this morning. I think I have been waiting my whole life to turn 50 - an age where I know who I am, i like who I am; I know what I value, I like what that is; I know who I love, I like who I love; I feel good in my skin - wrinkles, stretch-marks, quirks, passions, jiggles, and all. I still have goals and aspirations, but have lost the need to prove anything to anyone - I know I am loved and I am valued and am good at what I was created to do. Its a good place to be. Thank you to each person who wished me a happy birthday; who stopped by to spend time with me today; and who contributed to a really special celebration of my milestone. I really love my circle of family and friends - the people I have been blessed to experience life with! What a great view from the top of this hill! ...and who knew you could cook amazingly delicious steak in a fireplace insert in 2.5 minutes flat?! Thanks Adam - your suggestion was fantastic!
