I understand and respect that not everyone wants to have children. Or maybe in the distant future, but having kids right now seems like such a bummer. I happen to love being a mom, and I feel like Im doing exactly what Im meant to do. So I dont need you to remind me of the things I cant do or have to miss out on. Chances are Im already a little bummed to be excluded, so I dont need your help with that. And usually, when it comes right down to it, Im happier at home playing with my little family than I would be running around town like I did a few years ago. My real friends find ways to spend time with me and Piper and Mike and I dont have to feel bad about my new life. So before you speak or scoff about the idea of babies to a mom or mom to be, think and maybe keep your mouth shut. Or maybe a nice Congrats! would do. Rant of the day over.
