I understand that Festival of the Arts is a good venue for a lot of local artists to be and feel supported, but as a full-time, support-myself-wholly-on-music artist, I feel forced to view the festival differently. I made 1/5 of what I made last weekend because there was so place for me to busk. Over the weekend I was told by security and event volunteers both inside and outside the event perimeters that I couldnt set up and play. I lost a whole weeks pay due to a massive event that was allegedly representing and supportive of what I do for a living. Is there justice for such ill irony?
