I used to be late most if the time. Having lived in China it had become the norm, late being on time. I never minded when others were late either. But then one day a Daoist teacher said to me to be in a hurry and rush around is a form of violence. He went on to elaborate how it scattered the Qi of the one rushing and those where the late person arrived after things had already started. This is not even to say the amount of road rage and accidents caused by being in a hurry. I love being early and on time now. Besides not disturbing the flow of others I also get to relax and give my adrenals a rest. Ahhhhh. That feels good.
