I used to be the complete opposite of who I am today. I dropped acid at age 12, was totally boy crazy, I listened to Marilyn Manson, wore all black (including black lipstick!), and I was into studying voodoo and witchcraft. Not only was I dark on the outside (quite literally) I was even darker on the inside! I was struggling in silence with a serious case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression, addiction, suicidal thoughts and violent rage. Little did I know that God was going to use all that to bring me to a place of absolute desperation at age 20 - enough to cry out to Him with an open mind and humble heart at my parents kitchen table. Today, I thank God for my past - I stand on the promise that a broken and contrite spirit the Lord will not refuse! Through Him, I am truly a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are new!
