I used to think that I needed to jump on getting all my work done as immediately as possible and serve my clients/patients so that Id have the business to be able to provide for my family. As I get older & even more in demand, Im realizing that the work only comes in thicker & faster while the REALLY urgent, time-sensitive task is to teach my kids the fundamental priorities of humanity so that they learn to steer themselves in the right direction with or without me around. While its certainly a bit stressful to have to cancel patients, clients, & appointments in order to stay home with a coughing kid, I love Squealie, especially when I get to spend more uninterrupted time with him to help keep him on track & guide him father-to-son style. To borrow a phrase & put my own spin on it, I am Dr. Mark Cheng, and Im a citizen of humanity... just like you.
