I used to watch TV series finales and imagine what it was like to be on the set -- to be on a long-running, popular series and, in that one moment of that final bow, look back on the years and remember the laughter, friendships, families, and good times. I always wanted to be a part of a show like that -- and have that “last episode” moment. And it’s extremely rare for an actor to have that moment twice. In recent years, however, I have been thinking I would never have that opportunity. And then, at the beginning of September, I had a reunion with some of the people I worked with in the Beetlejuice show at Universal Studios. I even got to do the last performance of that show. And I realized that night, I actually did have my “last episode” moment. It wasn’t on TV like I imagined, but it was exactly that moment. Today marks the 8th anniversary of my first rehearsal at "Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular" at Disneyland. I am so grateful and blessed not just to have continued employment as a performer, but to absolutely love what I do. Even more, I get to spend my days with an extraordinary group of people -- the cast, the crew, everyone. They are family to me. And, one day, I will be one of the fortunate few who gets to have a second “last episode” moment. I just hope that day isn’t any time soon.
