I usually dont post things but I have to say, I read recently of an army veteran who was banned from Old Navy for pointing out to a manager that one of their employees was wearing a marine corps dress blue jacket complete with rank ensignia and service ribbons. The vet told them that the jacket was being worn illegally and against the stolen valor act. The person wearing it wasnt in the military and had no right to wear it. The whole thing pisses me off. I enlisted with the marine corps back in 2001 but because of reasons beyond my control, I only made it thru 2 and a half months of training. Although I still value what I learned and my experiences, you dont see me wearing military jackets, uniforms, service ribbons, etc. you know why? Because I didnt earn them. Military uniforms, ribbons, etc are not fashion statements, they are earned by respectful men and women who paid for them with sweat, blood, and tears. Those wannabes piss me off. That being said, screw Old Navy. Also thanks to everyone who earned their uniforms. God bless the USA and if I may, God bless the USMC.
