I usually dont share this part of myself but ... I Got a call from my daughter yesterday. She put me on the phone with her Cheerleading Coach. A week or 2 ago my daughter asked me to produce/edit a sound track for one of their routines they do during games. She had actually asked Brian McDaniel ( my homie/brother & basically her Uncle) to do it but he couldnt so she came to me nervously as a last resort. They had the same one before but either lost it or something wasnt right with it. She was scared that I wouldnt know how because most of what she knows Im good at is on stage or producing visual content. She forgot that for two years I danced for The 76ers, studied audio engeneering post high school, co produced 9 albums & do mash up vids where I mix edit do production for the sound score, I also dabble in DJing and produce spots for the radio. lol. So I told her I would give it a shot. They loved it. I added that #RuffinVision swag to it so the transitions were slick & I added a few HQ sound effects ie explosions, panther growls, audio pans to effect the crowd. I Kanye Wested that shit!!! LOL. Well they asked me to design another one that they can use to defend their citywide title at the regionals and state championships. I also get to help pick/modify music & have input on the themes. CTFU. WOW. I honestly never thought I would be a #CheerDad and music director/editor for a championship squad who also kill it as a football team. Thats what I get for studying Drama at CAPA. I cant lift and carry shit. But, when the time comes I can hit you with serious #JazzHands . I feel blessed that my daughter is close enough to me to involve me in something she enjoys. I dont care what any of you thugged out fathers with Boys on football teams say. This is gonna be fun. #LifeIsAwkwardlyAmazing Also get some tickets for #StandUpAtTheMovies cause she got class dues & I need to pay for & a whole bunch of new cheer leading gear, & a versace suit I can wear to games. What? Im stepping in the building like Puffy. All the moms gone be like YOO whose that dude with sparly suit & bodyguards. Oh thats the music director of the cheerleading squad. Aww Shit :).
