I usually dont weigh in on deeply personal matters on facebook, but I have been inspired. About two weeks ago a friend was brutally and senselessly attacked in her own home and left for dead by a stranger from out of town who broke in to rob the house. After multiple rounds of surgery her prospects for recovery are improving dramatically. In the mean time, her friends and supporters have rallied to raise a very substantial amount of money for her bills and to help her get back on her feet when she is ready. During a very dark time, my faith in humanity has been restored by this outpouring of love. I feel extremely humbled and lucky to live in a place where evil can be confronted by such great goodness.
