I usually walked home from NEHS before I received my drivers license or after getting the right to drive but couldnt steal my moms car to drive to school that day. In 11th grade we moved out to Pine Valley so hitching home was the mode of travel. But in 10th grade and the beginning of 11th, Id walk Cottman to Castor and down Castor to Robbins Ave. Hang a left and head to 1537 Robbins Ave. Home, baby, home. Id pass this Cottman Ave Dunkin Donuts every afternoon. Id usually bus it in the mornings. But when Id pass this Dunkin Donut shop, an institution in the Circle, Id have to stop in for donuts. I thought it was a great way to gain weight, as I was way too skinny in HS. Didnt help. Couldnt put on weight til right after graduating. Anyway, anyone else make a beeline to this coffee and donut shop in their travels to and from Northeast High School or anytime?
