I waited a day to compose my thoughts on this post. So here it goes. I have a lot of emotions and those who know me well, from back in my sports days know I am a very competitive person and my boys follow along in my footsteps. Anyways, this pertains to my Adams t-ball team and they made it to the championship game yesterday evening and it came to the bottom of the fifth and we were in the field. Now, the other coaches pretty much felt it was done and the other team won, but I still had a glimpse of hope but not much. So here is the scenario , bases loaded , no outs and we are up by three but to be honest they can easily score five and win, but the batter hits a pop up to my boy ,Adam , at the pitchers mound, and he catches it ( one out) , all the runners took off, so he ran to third and touched the base ( second out) and then the runner from second was on third and he tagged the runner and got the third out. We ended up winning and I couldnt have been any prouder cause the team we just beat was undefeated. I am so proud of my boy and the way he handled himself as a young 6 year old, and all of his aunts and uncles and cousins are so proud of him. I forgot, his grandparents too, those alive and my mom, Grandma Barb, who is with us in spirit. Way to go Canyon Incorporated and Coach Danny Cox.
