I walk in to pick Avery up from daycare this afternoon, and I find her on the floor playing with some little purple toy. She was content and seemed to be in a sort of gazed, daydream state. I wait for about 30 seconds, unnoticed by her, to see if I can make eye contact with her before her teacher grabs her up to bring her to me. Finally, her eyes slowly make their way up to my face. Her eyes light up and she begins bouncing up and down, laughing and sqeaking. Shes never been so excited to see me! I just wanted to squeeze her in half. It really is the little things that I love and enjoy about her, and I know this is just the beginning! Just a little happy thought for this Monday!
