I walked into a music store many years back and saw a beautiful guitar on the wall that I really wanted and I just mentioned to the Lord how I would like to have that guitar someday. A friend of mine Doyle Dykes had put it in there to sell it. The very next day Doyle called me and asked me to come to his church before I had to go to some sessions I had to play on. When I walked into the church Doyle was walking up and down the aisles listening to worship music and worshiping. He said to me hey do you remember that guitar that you loved I said yeah I saw it at the music store yesterday. He said I actually have it right here it was on the front row and he said open up the case I opened up the case and inside it said this guitar is a gift from Jesus Christ to Leonard Jones. A few years later I was in my hallway practicing my old violin and I just mentioned to the Lord, Lord someday I would like to have a really nice violin, Again the very next day I get a phone call from Ricky Skaggs Who at that time I did not know very well. He says to me Leonard I was praying yesterday and I started praying for you and the Lord said well give him one of your violins. I have more violins and guitars and keyboards and instruments that I dont even know how many I have Anymore And I keep giving them away, And when I do people keep giving me more and almost everyone of Those instruments that I have now have been given to me. God knows I love to worship him he knows that I love to practice he knows that I love to write. But he also knows that I really could not afford to buy the kind of instruments that I play. Isnt the Lord sweet like that?
