I want to apologize for not updating this entire week. As Im sure you can imagine life can be hectic with our baby girls therapy/doctors schedule. We had an appointment on Friday with dermatology. They told us that she does not have an abscess on her thigh but a granuloma. Often babies are allergic to the aluminum in vaccines causing knots but that we could put some ointment on it. They also told us that we can try bathing her every 2-3 days and covering her in eucerin to trap in the moisture. On Monday we had speech therapy and on Tuesday we met with the endocrinologist. The endocrinologist is happy with her muscle tone and how interactive she is. She wants to follow up again after Emilys next sleep study to discuss going ahead with the human growth hormone injections. On Wednesday we had PT and OT. PT didnt go as well as we would like, a lot of fussing. OT went amazing! Her therapist brought kinetic sand and she loved it! Even when the therapist was trying to put it away our baby girl kept reaching back in the container and pulling it out. It looks like our baby girl has another tooth or two coming in, in addition to the four molars she is already working on. We are guessing this is the culprit of all the fussing. She has been crying quite a bit for the past week. We are doing our best to manage her pain. Now for some good news, I think our baby girl has learned what Are you ready? means. I have been asking/signing to her ready and then I hold her little hand and skip across the room with her. She has started reaching for my hand when I ask her if she is ready. We love watching her learn new things. God is amazing and we are blessed to get the opportunity to witness his wonders.
