I want to ask you a serious question and would enjoy a serious response. If we cannot use the terrorists tactics for fear that we will lose an intangible asset (our morality or ethical high ground) and that we might make more terrorists by doing to them what they do to us then what do you suggest we do? Personally I despise killing even insects needlessly. I understand that sometimes war comes to a people and their nations and that sadly innocent people who deserve life will die during said war when enemies target each other. I understand bad things happen to good people but somehow I think in this circumstance the less we try to hurt the innocent the more the terrorists will capitalize on this and the more innocents will suffer for it. At what point does it become acceptable to target out enemies and kill the human shields they use when they hide in schools, mosques, and hospitals? How many innocent journalists, activists, and Yezidi need to have their heads sawn off and be starved to death after being forced from their homes and their daughters sold into slavery before we decide it is acceptable to do something so terrible to them they will take notice and stop their barbarism? I would like to know what you have to say. Education and persuasion are valuable to me so please, write back.
