I want to highlight this piece from last week because there are signs that China is going to experience a financial crisis this summer, more or less on cue. The problem is that no one believes the official data anymore. We dont really know what is happening at this point. So how can anyone predict jack about China? The answer is that the story is essentially self fulfilling. When risk outweighs reward in conventional wisdom, investors flee. If the US appears strong, which might come out of the May Employment Report, we have more than just a safe haven. Long report on this will come next.
