I want to personally thank everyone that has done the ice bucket challenge. My grandmother was diagnosed and end then died from ALS. I remember when I found out she had it. I really didnt know what it was or grasp what was gonna be in store what started as small twitching that was uncontrollable here and then turn to hand twitching all the time and feet. I watched my mom take care of her. As ALS progressed everyday things became extremely hard to do just going to the beach was almost impossible. I remember one time she seemed fine and only a month or two later I got the call where it was only going to be a matter of hour before she died. During her funeral the one wish she had was in stead if flowers donate to ALS . Even though she cant see this I am sure she would be proud of the movement now to help extend people lives that have this illness. The last couple days I watch these challenges it brings back memories but it also gives hope for the future.
