I want to say Happy Birthday to my beloved Uncle Kirk today. I said that I wasnt going to cry but I guess Im still not strong enough after 22 years. Whoever said grief gets better with time lied. I still remember the day you were taken from me and I still feel that little girl inside-unable to make sense of my loss. I remember as a child praying asking God to bring you back. How naive, right? Well, Ill be that. Back then I didnt know much, but I knew that I loved you so much, that I could count on you, and as long as you were around I would be ok. It took me a while to forgive you for leaving me, but I finally understood why. I remember you visited me later that week too, and you knew I needed that to survive. I was clinging to my last thread of sanity and you sat on the foot of my bed just as clear as day. God allowed you to come back just for me! I even hugged you. We always had so much fun and and laughed so hard. Ill always remember those times. Ill always remember you. You were love, personified.
