I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the vigil tonight to honor Sgt Owens!!! It means so much to me and so much more to his family!!! I am NOT a good public speaker, nor the best planner, but i think everything fell together well tonight, even though we were missing one of our speakers, not sure what happened to him lol.. The original phone call to the Patriot Guard said we may only have 3-4 people there due to the fact that most were in MO escorting Tim to Rolla. but WOW!!! they even proved themselves wrong!!!! I dont know how many PG there were, but at least 50!! That means A LOT!!! when we started lighting candles and placing them in front of the Veterans wall, my heart melted!!! It was so beautiful!!! I was still there as it got dark, and what a gorgeous sight!!!! unfortunatly i had to put all of the candles out and clean up the mess (which took a long time scraping wax off of the concrete with my keys lol) but the view was spectacular!!! glowing and flickering off of the marble!
