I want to say something...and this is the perfect forum to do it. In the past, Ive been accused of the Daria syndrome (if youre too young to know who that is, google her;) Ive spent a lot of my life in silent thought. Ive always kept my mind in protective-mode, ever since I was very small. It was my grandfather who told me I was an old soul. I think I may have been an old witch doctor, in my past life. Most of my time is spent in quiet, observing everything and everyone around me. Not because of anything more, than it being who Ive ALWAYS been. Ill get to my point. A lot of us, living in the western world, so badly want to appear that we are NOT of this world. Striving to be worldly, makes one, more apt of that western world, they are so desperately trying to separate themselves from. Costuming yourself in traditions of anothers culture, religion and or customs, does not a wise person make. Your attire, the people and places you hang out in/with, does not make it so either. This goes both ways. Monk attire and dreadlocks dont make you holy, just as tight jeans and high heels dont make you unworthy. Discover yourself with honesty, integrity and RESPECT, for YOUR being. Think for yourself. Inspire. Hold your tongue. Speak only truth, not because its beautiful, but because the world needs less posers and more believers of THY OWN SELF. Eagerness to be different or appear different, just leaves you more lost, than patiently living out and revealing who you ACTUALLY are. We all are ALREADY different...thats what so beautiful about us, no matter what world we come from. When you walk in your purpose, your absence WILL speak louder than your presence. My point? Turn down the volume, literally and figuratively.
