I want to say thank you to each and everyone that helped organize, came out, walked or just donated to this cause. It gives not only the people that are living with this disease hope but it also gives all of us caregivers whether it is as a family caregiver or a professional caregiver hope also. The caregivers have a hard job because they have to watch their loved one or patient go through something that is so hard to explain to others even family. On the outside most of the time the person does not look sick but they are going through a virtual nightmare everyday and it doesnt get any easier like it seems. As people drift away from your loved one because it is easier on them not to be around your loved one, this hurts your loved one when they do have moments of clarity and are asking what happened. As a caregiver you have to learn how to help that person understand without blaming anyone. Thank you for all of the people who have helped for 2014. Lets finish the year on a high note and start planning for bigger and better next year. Contanya Shelnutt
