I want to share one of my NeuroMOOCers final project: vimeo/100609931 This remarkable young woman has no somatosensation - touch, pain, pressure, temperature, vibration - all over her body. This prevents her cerebellum from coordinating her movement and thus to severe motor disability. Other amazing points that she makes include her inability to fully appreciate flavor because food has no temperature or texture!!!. Carbonated or still - no different for her. I am so glad that she learned from the MOOC that her brain is fine / perfect. Her disease, as devastating as it is, is entirely a problem with peripheral sensory neurons. But most of all, I am blown away by this womans remarkable resiliency and attitude. She appreciates what her disease has done for her, the person that it has made her into. My hat is off to Kim S.
