Okay... here is the UPDATE: To make a LONG explanation short - Bryans recent cluster of seizures are most likely the result of generic meds that arent regulated the same as name-brand meds are. Apparently, each manufacturer, each dose make-up, each dosage are different and not regulated as tightly. So, if you get a generic refill today - in 30 days, its possible/probably its NOT the same chemical make up as the batch you just finished. Bryans last refill was 3/31 when his dosage was increased... and since that day, hes had over a dozen seizures. Long story short - its the MEDS! Also, we are now moving forward with his sleep study AND his tonsil/adenoid surgery. Once the Neurologist is confident that his seizures are under control, he will be cleared for the surgery. We are meeting with her again in two weeks and the hopes are, by then he will have had the sleep study, a complete work-up of blood work, following his taking the name-brand Keppra. She has also ordered a Neuro-Pysch test for him to work on his aptitudes and possible recommendation into a change in schools ( Amy Frederick-Myers ) where he will be in an environment with students more like him... more for socializing, than for academics sake. These are ALL good things and we feel better knowing our concerns were probably justified and we are rectifiying all issues, one by one.
