I want to share this for a very loved close long time friend. He wants people to be aware of ALS. Its known asLou Gehrigs Disease. Its a very progressive nerodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain n spinal cord. Neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord n from there to the muscles through out the body. The progressiveness degeneration in ALS eventually leads to death. Eventually the motor neurons die n the ability of the brain to initiate n control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages if the disease may become completely paralyzed. Catching this horrible disease early is critically important. These are some signs to look for....increasing muscle weakness especially involving the arms, legs, speech, swallowing or breathing. When it gets worse the limbs seem to get thinner and/or smaller. When that happens to the limbs of the body tgat is calledatrophy. Please dont take thus disease lightly n be aware that this can affect anyone, so spread the word n also do some family background cuz you never know it can happen to you. Tell ur friends. That way they can also do the same for themselves n their families. Thankyou for your time n listening to a very important message.
