I want to show you a before and after video done with Team USA’s Laura Bergmann. I shot an underwater video of her around the 9th of July with many comments. Today she came to S4P to try and correct some of these problems and do a video afterwards to see if it worked. My primary focus with Laura was the cross-over tendency on both sides of her stroke followed by a scull-out motion and press downwards on the water. All these items prevented her from getting an adequate catch… and wreaked havoc with body position and drag in the water. In fact she wasn’t using the 1st third of her pull to move her body in a forward direction. With slight tweaks ……angle of attack, special paddles for the wrist, tethering above mirrors and a couple of crazy drills…..we made some positive improvements.
