I want to start this post off on a positive note: To the AMAZING, LOVELY ladies who had these Gilbert 23 Magnets and Car Decals made Thank YOU so very much. We as humans are curious AND/OR nosey in nature and these Gilbert 23 Magnets and Car decals, are out working in full force. Not only am I able to silently honor the Gilbert 23 (through the magnets and decals), I am also able to be a LOUD VOICE for The Gilbert 23. Like I said above, humans are very curious in nature and I totally welcome their curiousness and GLADLY share who The Gilbert 23 was. Most of the conversations begin like this: Excuse me Maam, I was noticing your Decal for The Gilbert 23, if you dont mind me asking, Who is The Gilbert 23? And from that exact second, I share The Gilbert 23 story and I ask each and every person that I share the story with, to please share the story with at least 10 other people. Ive got nothing but respectful and positive comments from people who promise me that, they are going to share The Gilbert 23 story with much more than 10 people. Being in the Animal Rescue Community for over 20 years, I have seen the worst of the worst, or so I thought. Ive seen the light of life slowly fade away while holding to my heart a precious, innocent soul who never had ONE chance of Survival. As I hold him or her tightly, I whisper I am so very sorry that you were hurt so horribly but please know, as you cross those pearly gates in Heaven, you cross through being loved by me, your foster Momma who wishes she could have loved you in life. Please know that in these last minutes of your life on Earth, You are LOVED and you can now let go, go peacefully and know that you have a momma who cant wait to see you again. I can not tell you the many times Ive been in that situation and as heart breaking as they are, my heart somehow manages to pick itself back up and continue ITS MISSION.
