I want to take a few minutes here and mention a very special young lady I have come to know in the last few months. Her name is Sheena Henderson, and she was an extremely conscientious lab tech that did her job so well you were actually unable to feel the needle entering your vein when she drew blood. The last time I sat in the elevated chair with my arm extended while she felt for a pulse was on the 7th of July. We talked and joked with each other, she told me about her two small children and I told her about my exploits with my four grandchildren. Unfortunately, on the 8th of July around nine-fifteen in the morning her estranged husband, Chris, walked into the seventh floor lab at Deaconess hospital cancer treatment center with full staff and numerous patients in the waiting room and without saying a word shot Sheena six times - at close range in the head, and torso killing her instantly. Chris then used the remaining round when he placed the barrel of the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. The lab has since been closed due to clean up and painting. There is rumor than this paticular lab may never be open for business again. I can understand this, there are ghosts in there that bring tears to the eyes of anyone that enters. Sheena Henderson was my friend and I am going to miss her terribly. I dont understand how a father could take both parents away from his two young children so easily, place innocient people in danger of being hurt or killed and think its okay. Well, thats my story... I dont know if I feel better or worse writing it but if spirits can read at least shell know I cared for her and considered her one of my close friends. RIP Sheena.
