All day today I have been reading and hearing discussions about Robin Williams death. Most have had a supportive tone. Yet there were plenty that I, personally, found disturbing. The comments that went something like, What did he have to be depressed about?, Poor Robin Williams? He was loaded! What, was he sad because he didnt know what to do with his money? I cringe when I see/hear comments like that. Does being wealthy make depression any different? Having money doesnt change mental illness. It doesnt discriminate based on income, color or class. If you think this is how life works, then I pity you.
