I want to thank ALL for Prayers, Thoughts, and Support for Zane and our family when it was needed most. Keeping Zanes situation off social media to safeguard his Nana n Poppa Lee was a success during a time period that they needed to be focused on their own situation. Ive been overwhelmed by the Love n Respect and privacy that this Town/Community gave him. On a GREAT note. Zane is fully recovered! Prayers answered and peace has settled in our home. Taking a hit to the head in the Catholic game while dealing with anxiety ( due to family health issues/everyday HS issues/Football) and unknown to us at that time, an Enlarged Thyroid Gland, he simple had to much going on....good and bad. Hes mind needed help. He needed a timeout to learn coping skills. The meds hinder him more than they helped which prolonged his recovery by three weeks and three games:(. Med free now! Coach Gillum, Pastor Terry, Mrs.Scott, Corey Morgan n Brandon Ford made personal impacts to his recovery. I will forever be grateful ! His teammates and family n friends also gave him the support he needed. Thanks Coach Wallace for encouraging him to play basketball and to move forward. To the AC teachers n staff....thanks for yr compassion for my son and students. Thanks Dr. Daughtery for getting him off those meds! For the local reporters (Clinton n Knoxville), thanks for understanding the privacy he needed at that time. Zane was having a great football year and the team was improving and becoming more media worthy each game. Turning down a Feature write up on Zane as one of the top players in the Knoxville area came with mixed emotions. He will forever be remembered by many without it though. He made his mark in AC history book...thats what he wanted most:) Feeling Proud n Thankful for being part of a Community n School that truly cares about each other. Thank you God for surrounding us with the right people n yr love n guidance . Have a Merry Christmas to ALL!
