I want to thank all of you for the comments posted about my Green Cay Sunrise shot. I would like to add a few technical comments on it. The shot was taken with a Canon 5D Mk !!, 17-40mm lens. I shot at 40mm f/6.3, ISO 400 on a tripod. Although I used exposure bracketing, the post processing in Photoshop was limited to the single normal exposure image. This is not an HDR shot. I worked in Layers so that I can modify my adjustments later if I desire. I was careful not to over saturate, so the colors are close to what I saw. I checked my progress by referring to my under-exposed image that had more color in the sky. I did create a luminosity mask to add tonal contrast and to emphasize detail in the clouds. I do plan to re-process the original image a few more times to see which variation I prefer to print. I plan to bring a 24x36 print at our next get-together.
