I want to thank everyone for the calls, texts, posts, likes, comments, and messages. It is very much appreciated and recognized not only by me, but my family. Last night my grandfather fell after returning from dialysis. It is presumed that he fainted when he stood up to get out of the car. He hit his head on the sidewalk and was transported to shock trauma. He was diagnosed with a temporal skull fracture and a large diffuse subarachnoid bleed. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated overnight as the hemorrhage progressed and a second bleed (subdural) developed. Because of his Coumadin, they have not been able to perform surgery. They are unable to bring his clotting factor into a normal range to stop the bleeding. He is now in icu and they are focusing on keeping him comfortable. This has been a very difficult 12 hours for my family and the decisions we have had to make. I am soo grateful to have such a strong supportive extended family on Facebook, especially during this time of need. I ask for continued thoughts and prayers as we endure this overwhelming event.
