I want to thank the Wrentham, Franklin, Bellingham, and Norton Police for demonstrating — again and again — that there are places where GOOD cops are the NORM. Being a fat, Black, gay, female from LA, I did NOT grow up in the 60s and 70s thinking of police as protectors of my rights. Yall know how I feel about my Warrior Love Warriors, and I do my best to view police through that lens, in spite of my background. And I often fail, unfortunately. Its the cops in those towns that keep alive my hope and faith in increasingly compassionate and chivalrous policing. With that said, Bill sums up how my cynic feels when I see 3 police cars around someone... and 99% of the time its someone of color. Im not looking to get folks riled up, so I apologize if this offends you, whoever you are. What I WOULD like to hear, in this thread, is both 1) something you love about the good cops you know. I want to balance out Bills perspective and get fresh reasons to unlearn my distrust. My Story. Stickin to it. ;-D
