I want to warn you up front this is a long post and might be uncomfortable for some of you to read. But this is something that breaks my heart. This week, it seems that everyday, there are several posts on here about domestic abuse/violence. I take from this that God is leading me to say something about it. Because I have never been in this kind of situation myself, I know I cant understand what victims of this violence go through on a daily basis. BUT I want every person who is or has been in this heartbreaking place to know that YOU are loved, YOU are important, it is NOT YOUR fault that someone chooses to hurt you physically or emotionally. It breaks my heart to know that people I love feel stuck in these relationships because they dont feel like they deserve better. Once again, I know Im not trained to counsel or know all the professional things to tell people in these situations. But I do know that God loves you and so do your friends and families, even if your abuser tells you its not true. I pray that if this fits you, you will reach out and find help. If this post is not about you, you probably know someone who needs your prayers for their situation. I love you my friends.
