I want to wish a Very happy Veterans Day to a wonderful man who is 96 yrs. of age and my mothers only surviving sibling. His name is Archie Oliver Starks and he lives in Meridian, Okla. He was in World War 2. He was a farmer and worked hard working his farm. He married a wonderful woman, Ruth McPeak Starks, who treated us like we were their own. They raised 5 children,4 of which are living, and they each help take care of the farm and take care of their parents. A friend, Susan Brewer, and myself went out there about a month ago on our road trip. The boys took us to see some of my old Haunts and to the cemetery where my grandparents and many relatives are buried. But the main thing was how they took care of their mom and dad.
