I want your opinion on this. I just heard that Bloc Quebecois is trying to pass a regulation stating that no one can work in public if they wear anything showing their religion. Be it a cross necklace, a star of David, a turban, those little jewish hats, a hijab.. I think this is immoral. Women wear hijabs every second they are out in public, they can not show their hair. should they be refused employment because of this? HELL NO! This is communism. This is disgusting and disgraceful. I was always so proud of being from a French Canadian heritage until this moment. Now I am embarrassed to say that that is my background. I may have been born into that but Islam is a choice. It is not only belief, it is a lifestyle. It is honest and pure, and I believe that everyone should have freedom to believe what they want and should have freedom to wear what they want. I almost want to start wearing a hijab just to prove this point. If you live in Quebec and they are disgracing you like this, move to Ontario. That is all I have to say. they will be sorry when all their doctors, nurses, teachers, businesses all move away because they are regulating peoples beliefs and life choices. Sorry, had to rant a little.
