I wanted to blast the Americas football coaches who are complete jerks/a**h**** to the people who want to use the soccer goals with wheels during the summer on the turf. I was playing with my little brother who is about to be a freshman at Americas and join the soccer team, me and another cousin were doing little training drills with him on the field when some football coach came up to us telling us we had to get the hell out and that we were on a 5 million dollar field blah blah blah. When I brought up the fact that Ive been a home owner the past 3 years within the Socorro ISD and every year when I get my property taxes statement, it says a good chunk goes to paying property taxes to SISD so in essence I kind of put my part in this field so him bringing up that amount to a law abiding tax paying citizen like me was pointless I told him. He pretty much had nothing to say told us to get off the turf, fine. When I asked if we can move the goals in the upper field (originally they were always there) that has grass and that no one even goes too, he just replied with a sarcastic no. I was already getting fed up with this guy and just ended up leaving with my little brother and cousin. The football coaches ended up moving the goals where it was hard to get them, to finally locking and tying them up with brand new chains and locks to the fence. How can the soccer team train like this? Do the current players ever speak up about this? I see the football team always getting preferential treatment, what about the soccer team and their training regimens during the summer? What a bunch of joke educators some of those soccer hating football coaches are at that school.
