I wanted to let you know the schedule for the Walk in Her Shoes event. This Friday, the day before the parade, we will have a pizza party during the decoration of the 6 foot stiletto high heel float. It will be behind Sweet Charity from 5pm until that big shoe is stuffed with purple tissue. We will meet in the parking lot of KEDU at 9am on Saturday morning to get ready to line up for the parade. We strongly encourage yall to attend at least one dance practice for the One Billion Rising flash mob dance that is going to occur during the parade. Dancers are being strategically placed throughout the parade route and when we hit that specific place, they are going to flow into the streets to dance our dance with you. For those who are unable to attend a practice or quietly practice at home behind drawn shades (lol), we will also coordinate a brief practice int he KEDU parking lot. The moves are very simple...no worries! Please feel free to drop by The Nest and pick up your heels early so you can practice walking in them before the parade. If you do not, we will bring the shoes to the parade on Saturday morning. We have little footsies for yall to each blisters and the like. Please keep my cell number in the event you need to reach me.
