I wanted to post this quote earlier and for the LIFE of me I cannot remember what book I just read it in. But it said this: IF you choose to LOVE, you WILL experience GRIEF. (Not a booboo, or a little owwie) but all out GRIEF. I thought this was REALLY profound, because so often we want the love relationships in our lives, whether with a significant other, or our kids or WHATEVER, to NOT COME with any type of pain. Yet, in actuality love arbitrarily COMES WITH pain, by its very definition, it will CREATE pain at times. Because when you truly love, you care. If you care about something, that thing can hurt you, or cause hurt for you. We should not be surprised therefore, when we experience both emotions of the best feelings and the worst feelings with those we truly love and care about. Just thinking...
