I wanted to send you a special invitation to join TIRRC for an exciting event next weekend. On Saturday, August 30th we are hosting our second annual InterNASHional Food Crawl, beginning at our offices at Casa Azafran. The Inter῾NASH᾽ional Food Crawl will give all Nashvillians the opportunity to explore a two-mile span of Nashvilles international corridor, support immigrant-owned businesses, and try delicious foods from around the world. As part of our mission to build a strong, welcoming, and inclusive Tennessee, we host the Food Crawl to encourage Nashvillians to visit our international district, celebrate the rich cultural diversity that immigrants bring to our community, and get to know their immigrant neighbors. Participants will stop by our offices at Casa Azafran between noon and 3 p.m. to get their $10 tickets and pick up a map of participating businesses before making their way to 5-6 different restaurants along Nolensville Road who will open their doors to share samples of their food and information about their cultural traditions.
