I wanted to share a story,I hope its OK. I worked at Shaws for over 20 years, started as a bagger and worked my way up to HR Manager. When I left, I stayed true to my former employer and continued shopping there until I could no longer afford it. Three years ago I began shopping at Market Basket. My husband and I would drive almost an hour, each way, to the store on Woodbury Ave. I was astounded at the Customer Service that was provided at that store. Each and every aisle I turned down, someone would smile, ask how my day was going, ask if I needed help with anything, it was such a wonderful experience. One day, I wanted to relay my gratefulness so I went to the Service Desk and asked for the Manager in charge. A gentleman came out and we had a lovely conversation. He thanked me for letting him know, and also thanked me for driving the distance to shop there. As my husband was watching the news one night a couple of weeks ago,a picture of Arthur T. Demoulas was shown., My husband turned and said, THAT is they guy that you spoke with that night when we were shopping!. ATD had no idea what my agenda was, as a matter of fact, he probably thought I was there with a complaint. But he took the time to come and speak with me, the owner of a huge chain of stores, to see what I needed. He could have easily sent someone else,., but HE, himself, took the time. THAT is the man we are fighting for, THAT is the man who deserves to be reinstated, THAT is why I havent and WILL not, step foot into MB until ATD is back! I may be just a customer, but I QUIT! Market Basket Strong! Please dont give up the fight!
