I wanted to share something joyful with you all. I was spring - TopicsExpress

I wanted to share something joyful with you all. I was spring cleaning a cupboard today and I found a shelf full of medications: it was all the meds that my son took on a daily basis to keep him healthy, including his source of food (Elecare formula). Today is also the day I pick up our weekly organic food order. I was stunned at the contrast between my sons meds last year, and his food medicine this year. Would you believe, the only meds I have had to give him since we started GAPS a year ago is 2 doses of antihistamine and 1 of Redipred steroid. This is as opposed to at least 3 and up to 7 medications a day every day for at least 3.5 years. I was too scared to throw all his medicine away, scared that this food endeavour would fail, so I packed it all into this cupboard on the 2nd Nov 2013, and there it sat, forgotten for over a year. It is such a stark reminder of where we were, the hopelessness of symptom management, but boy oh boy my heart is just so full of gratitude to God for leading us safely to where we now are :-)
