I was about to post this when I got the good news that Regan is HOME with Kristie. Her legal battle has just begun so I am still going to post this so you all can follow if you would like. Please show your support to Kristie and share words of encouragement on this page. Thank you everyone for making it happen and getting Regan home to heal! ***Urgent*** Regan is a St. Bernard who one of our fosters found as a stray and took under her wing. She was extremely malnourished, scared, injured and sick. Given the financial burden the rescue is already under we were unable to help Kristie to rehabilitate her. Kristie pushed forward unwilling to give up on Regan, funds were raised and Regan was given the chance she deserved to heal not only physically but mentally as well. Unfortunately, Regan escaped from her yard a few weeks back and got into a scuffle with the neighbor’s dog. Everyone was ok, human and animal but some scratches were inflicted and the women received a single bite wound on the back of her leg from improperly trying to separate the dogs. She was unclear as to which dog inflicted the bite and although, in my opinion the bite wound is too small to have come from a St. Bernard, she has pushed forward with a case against Regan. Regan was confinscated from Kristie’s care as of last night 11/4/2014. After the scuffle Regan underwent spay surgery that did not heal properly and required major surgery. Once the stitches were removed her insides started to spill onto the floor. Though it was unlikely she would survive give that her intestines had already started to turn blue and he coloring was non-existent, surgery pushed forward and she survived. It is LESS THAN A WEEK LATER and Regan is still very much in danger of major infection and death if she is not properly taken care of. We are asking, pleading that you take the time to like this page and help us get Regan back to Kristie or at least back into the hands of the medical staff at City Creatures where she can be properly taken care of. If this does not happen and happen quickly it is likely she will not survive. https://facebook/bringreganhome?pnref=story
