I was accelerating in my nineteen seventy eight Honda Accord. The internal combustion failed. I pulled to the side of the road. White smoke was billowing out of the exhaust release. Luckily I had tools. The coolant was flowing into the combustion chamber. All aspects of combustion are not fully explained. The problem was due to the motor overheating warping the cylinder head and the gasket failing. The electric fan had failed which cools the radiator by drawing air through the coolant fluid coils within the radiator. On the side of the road I removed the cylinder head and shave material of the mating surface until level. Then I repaired the windings in the electric fan motor. I then reassembled everything. I was that lucky to have my tools with me. The motor ended up being a little more powerful than before. Shaving my cylinder head raised the compression ratio. Never leave home without your tools.
