I was advised by one of my neighbors this morning that the "Town of Shady Shores" Facebook site was removed from the social network. I went to the town hall to discuss this matter with Mayor Cindy Spencer. Mayor Spencer advised me that a couple of alderman thought that the social network site needed to be "Monitored" closely. For that reason they chose to SHUT DOWN the site. Mayor Spencer said she would look into getting the site back up. When the site will be up again, she did not tell me but would keep me advised. It sounds like to me a copycat move like the liberal federal government is doing now. This looks like censorship in our local government to me. What is it that our town council wants to keep the citizens and public from discussing on a social network???
