I was asked (again) today if I would ever walk normally and without a limp. Heres what I got to say about that. The fact that I can even walk, after severely damaging vertebras and my back, is a something I will never take for granted again. So I might have a limp which id like to refer to as swag but it hasnt stopped me from doing the things I love and living a very healthy and normal life. Its heartbreaking to think people may judge me because of the way I walk but if I look back on the process that it took to get where I am today, I simply dont want those people around me anyway. Life is way too beautiful and short to focus on something as silly as someones gate patterns or their lack of gate (Im still figuring it out). So next time you see someone in a wheelchair or walking with difficulty, just remind yourself of how blessed you are to have your mobility and commend those people for still living life despite their restrictions :) rant over
