I was asked by Christine Fletcher & Penelope Storm to list my 10 - TopicsExpress

I was asked by Christine Fletcher & Penelope Storm to list my 10 most influential reads. Please note, the order they appear is based on influence, not favorites (cause the Stand would be first). Im not tagging anybody, but would love my 4 FB friends who actually read to chime in with their own. 1) Fast Food Nation - Eric Schlosser 2) Legend - David Gemmell 3) How to Survive the End of the World as We Know it - James Rawles 4) The Stand - Stephen King 5) Freakonomics - Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner 6) One Second After - William R. Forstchen 7) Zeitoun - David Eggars 8) Legion of the Dammed - William C. Dietz 9) Mindhunter - John Douglas 10) Island in the Sea of Time - S.M. Stirling Other notables, Black Sun Rising - C.S. Friedman. Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett, Hostage - Robert Crais, Ogre, Ogre - Piers Anthony, The Warded Man - Peter V. Brett, Furies of Calderon - Jim Butcher, Rhapsody - Elizabeth Haydon, and Deed of Paksenarrion - Elizabeth Moon (are all favorites). Ogre, Ogre is actually in my top 10... but its hard to explain why. Basically a story of a big ugly Ogre that goes thru life feeling big and ugly, yet finds happiness and the love of a beautiful woman, even though hes big and ugly. Its full of sarcasm and wit. Practically a parallel to my own life.
